my travel album

I have been a very bad blogger, but in all fairness I did go on vacation (Kevin & I went to Hawaii) and I have been swamped at work. As a result of all this I have had a cold for the past 2 weeks & summer colds suck!

The good news is that Freckle Friends has developed my Cabo travel memorabilia album into their July project of the month. I love this album because it uses 7 Gypsies envelopes to store all these random items neatly. I think I might have to make one for Hawaii now! I have been busy scrapbooking so I will post all my new Hawaii pages up soon - of course the first ones I made were of our cage dive with sharks!!!

national scrapbooking day

I'm looking forward to National Scrapbooking Day this Saturday. What a great excuse to do nothing but scrap (not that I really need an excuse...) all day long and catch up with TIVO. At the moment I am kinda blown away with LOST - I love that show but I can so easily obsess over it. Ben is my favorite character - he is so twisted! Sorry for the diversion, what is everyone else doing on NSD?

where did it go?

It seems like all my scrapping mojo has left me temporarily so I'm shopping online. But how cute is this yellow jacket? or this golf polo? But most importantly - where did my scrapping mojo go?

my moldy office...

Unfortunately, I haven't been too motivated to scrap lately because I have been fending off allergies. The chief one being to mold due to the recent flood in my office. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the insurance company comes through soon so that I can breathe freely again!

my bachelorette party - march concroption project

These are pics of the March project I created for Concroption using their awesome Teresa Collins kit and an acrylic album. Obviously the album is of my bachelorette party (at least the pics I could show), but the subtitle is 'why the Captain is no longer my friend!', which is a reference to the huge amount of Captain Morgan I was forced to drink. Needless to say, I can't drink rum to this day. I loved the kit though - pretty, pink & girly!

my greeting card solution

I don't know about the rest of you, but I save every single card (birthday, Christmas, friendship etc...) that I receive. The problem is that I have for years and as a result I have hundreds stashed away in boxes. Occasionally I like to look through them, but because of my random stashing in boxes it can become a time consuming and messy affair. This weekend I decided to do something about it so I created a 'card album' if you may. I sandwiched a piece of double sided patterned paper between two thin sheets of acrylic and adhered it together. I made another one for the back cover - I determined the size of the covers by adding a half inch to the dimensions of the largest card. I then punched a hole in the corner of both covers. I positioned my cards so that they were flush to that corner and punched holes in all of them. I used a standard book ring to secure them all and decorated the cover. For my Christmas 2007 cards I used Basic Grey paper, a Fontwerks label and some Prima flowers jazzed up with bling. Once I have all of the 'card albums' put together I plan on storing them in a basket in my family room.

mellow weekend

Kevin & I had a mellow weekend - he was still recovering from his oral surgery but we had tix to the Improv on Friday night to see Joel McHale. We love Joel McHale & watch our TIVO'd 'The Soup' religiously on Saturday mornings while we eat breakfast. Needless to say he was even funnier in person and bears an even more striking resemblance to my bro than we once thought. We find out at the end that his wife was sitting behind us (heavily prego - she is due in 2 weeks) so it was a good thing we were laughing. Bad part is it was killing Kevin's jaw, which is why the rest of the weekend was spent catching up on TIVO and hanging around the house. I love my 'Lost' but who are all these new people?! Harper?! Ben is definitely our fav - definitely the man with the plan! Somehow we also started watching 'Sensing Murder' (super spooky on psychics who help detectives solve cold cases) and 'Jon & Kate Plus 8' (go figure). I scrapped a little, but spent more time reorganizing my Clip-It-Up than anything else.

ME album

I am very excited to share that the March project kit for Freckle Friends is one I created - the ME album! It serves as a album and journal to document where you are in your life at this particular time. You can read all about it here http://www.qbaroo.com/frecklefriends/largeimage.cfm?product=2261&categoryoid=68 - I had a lot of fun creating it and completing it, and hopefully everyone else will too!

bad blogger - shame on me!

I have been such a bad blogger on this, but I really need to change that up. The irony is that I have a been a good blogger on the Concroption website ( http://www.concroption.com/). And that is because I am so happy to announce that I am a member of their design team (taG TEAM). I am loving it because taG has such great products and kits include favs of mine like: 7 Gypsies, Heidi Swapp, Basic Grey, Rusty Pickle......... The site is definitely worth checking out, and I will definitely start being a better blogger on my own blog now. These are some pics of the project I made for Kevin with their February kit.
